School kids have been using the old high school grounds to build temporary ramps for bikes and skateboards.
There seems to be a desire from these kids to have a more permanent track.
Anyone with ideas on a suitable area for such a track are requested to contact the community council or post on this thread
Other ideas on how to build/maintain the track are also welcome

how about part of birkwood land for kids area its out of the way of the oldies and near nough the village. what bout a gang hut where kids can go when wet ;D

Something needs to be done for kids in the village as there's absolutely nothing for them to do.

agree trikemailer that's part of the reason that the lesmahagow development trust has been set up, check out what they are trying to do on their website, they are definately looking to try and provide some facilities for kids, they just need the support from the community and some grant funding
